Forklift Training

Due to popular demand, we have started incorporating forklift training into the Pathway of Life Education. As many employers see this as a desirable skill, our participants were keen to put their hands up to start their basic training for forklift operations.
NEW Arrivals in Quebec
3 July 2021 - Saint-Laurent-de-l'Île-d'Orléans, Quebec
Our first of Cambodian workers arrived in Quebec this month to work as strawberry harvesters. They of course had to do quarantine but were so happy when they got to their new accommodation - the house was cozy, the fridge and cupboards were packed full of food !!
Mushrooms & Tomatoes !!

With temperatures reaching 36oC in Hanoi, Vietnam, it has been very difficult for us to get our white and brown mushrooms growing...but we did and training began in January. With tomatoes, they are great, and participants have been able to practice harvesting.
NEW Arrivals in Canada
17 November, 2020 - Vancouver, BC.
A group of 7 workers from Cambodia and 1 from Vietnam went straight into quarantine when they arrived in Canada. They will do this for 14 days before joining their new employer. Being allowed to take a stroll through the gardens where they are staying was great !

The cooler weather has meant our 600 potted strawberries seedlings are really starting to take shape - should have plenty to let participants harvest and collect in the coming months.
Flooding in Cambodia
10 OCTOBER, 2020 - Phnom Penh.
The western areas of Cambodia have been hit with the worst flooding in over 30 years. This has affected our Training Garden Centre and more than 1 million people have been displaced. But everyone is remaining positive and strong - first COVID and now bad flooding...everyone is looking forward to next year already !
